Pay Codes for Daily and Hourly Amounts

Whilst you’ve always been able to set the basic payment to employees as being either a fixed amount, an hourly rate or a day rate – when it came to adding additional lines you only had the option to add or deduct a fixed amount.

Not any more

When you add a new Pay Code or edit an existing one you’ll see there is an additional option where you can say whether if the code is intended for daily or hourly amounts.

If you add a line to a payslip and select a code that’s set to hourly or daily then rather than just providing an amount you’ll be able to provide a rate as well as the number of hours/days to pay for.
