Here’s an update on some changes we have recently made to Staffology Payroll.

We continue to update the software with the legislative changes for the 2022/2023 tax year.

The final stages of testing are being worked through in readiness for release.

Payslip Customisation

We have added the following two new options to Settings > Payslip Customisation:

Health and Social Care Levy

We have added the option to include a payslip message, as recommended by HMRC, following the introduction of the Health and Social Care levy:

  • 1.25% uplift in NICs funds NHS, health & social care

Benefits in Kind

We have also added the option to include benefits on payslips.

How to set in the software:

  1. Select the employer
  2. Choose Settings and then Payslip Customisation
  3. If not enabled, select Change the default look of your payslips
  4. Choose from:
    • Include footnotes? Select Show Health & Social Care message (2022/2023 only)
    • Include Benefits? Select Show details of any Payrolled Benefits
  5. Select Save Changes

NOTE:  Some changes to the Payslip Customisation screen to improve the layout are in development and will be released soon.

Revolut BACS File

We have updated the Revolut BACS file to match their BACS specification.

Auto Enrolment

We have resolved an issue where employees with salaries reduced below the AE trigger were still enrolled.

Re-calculate Button

The Update Employee button now enables when you select re-calculate.  In addition, if changes have been made and not saved, a warning will display.

Share Your Ideas

If you have ideas for enhancements like the one above, please let us know directly via the Staffology Ideas Portal

Please visit, create new ideas, and vote on ideas others have raised. We will give you feedback and tell you how our roadmap incorporates them.
